I don’t know about you, but books are one of those things in life that I am always shopping for, even if I never buy. Sometimes, the shopping is just for fun. You don’t have to spend money; you already have a massive TBR, but you can add things to your Amazon wish list, and it makes you smile that you have a collection to come back to when you do want to spend the money. But Amazon is not the only place you can find books. They are all over the place. One place I love to look is BookFunnel promos. Here is a quick BookFunnel guide for readers looking for new authors and stories.
What is BookFunnel?
BookFunnel connects authors and readers by genre. Account holders reach new audiences through newsletter swaps and promos. Readers can find books across many genres via Bookfunnel links from trusted email addresses and social media profiles. It's a smorgasbord of books from many genres.
Supporting Readers and Authors
While BookFunnel is frequented by authors looking to share their books with more people, it is also a valuable platform for readers. Through BookFunnel, readers can easily discover new short stories and books, often for free, by following promos and newsletter sign-up opportunities found in bookish newsletters and on author social media. Beyond accessing a wide variety of book collections, using BookFunnel actively supports authors in reaching new audiences.
Find New Authors
Some of the most popular promos are BookFunnel’s newsletter sign-up promos. If you find one of these, visit the link to see a list of short stories, and sometimes full-length novels, that you can access in exchange for signing up for the author’s newsletter. If you find the author is not for you, you can unsubscribe later. However, if you know what you are looking for, BookFunnel is a great place to find new authors and stories! I found this super cute short story recently called The Fantastical Library by B. J. Cade, about a girl trapped in a mysterious bookstore when a villain is released from a book. Super imaginative and a fun little read!
Happy Reading
If you spot a BookFunnel link in an email or social post of the authors you follow, make sure to check it out! Not only will you find new stories and possibly your next favorite author, but you will also be supporting the authors who create those stories! As always, happy reading!
