Hello and welcome to the Lyonsword Member Rules page!
This free membership comes with access to an online community for booklovers. Both were created with the idea to provide a place where negativity is drowned out by light not becuase people don't struggle, but becuase there are plenty of other places where negativity and hate rule. This is not one of them - please keep it that way.
Please be aware that if you join the online group, there are group rules that you must follow. However, there are a few things I want to make extra clear here. These rules, and the one's for the group, exist to keep everyone safe and on topic in this community and will be enforced. Also understand that all the rules below apply to all member pages and groups. Please take a minute to read through them.

Rule #1: Be Kind, Respectful, and Collaborative
Please understand the purpose of this space is to discuss books in a collaborative and friendly community. Different likes/dislikes, fandoms, beliefs, and views are great and welcome, but this is not the place to get in fights, arguments, and heated debates over them. Even if you disagree, you can do so with kindness. No hate speech or bullying of any kind will be allowed, and I reserve the right to delete comments and ban people if I determine such action is needed for the safety and functionality of this community. These rules, and any actions taken to enforce them, apply to any and all interactions and are not a judgement on individuals, but rather structure aimed at keeping this community uplifting, fun, and collaborative. Put simply, please be kind, respectful, and collaborative.
Rule #2: Leave Politics at the Door.
This group is not the place to discuss personal political views, and it is definitely not the place to debate them. This space is specifically created to discuss books and do so in a kind and collaborative way. So, I kindly ask you to leave politics at the door. If this is something you cannot do, please do not join this community. If I find comments and posts that break this rule, I reserve the right to delete them and ban anyone who posted them.
Rule #3: Keep It Clean
This is a family friendly space. Please keep all language and content clean. No swearing will be permitted. Erotica and books with sextual content are not allowed. This is not a place to debate what should and shouldn't be in books. I simply don't allow certain content. While romance books are welcome, I do not allow graphic sextual content. At most, books with kissing and closed door/fade to black are allowed. However, please keep discussion of this content clean and family friendly.
Rule #4: No Spam or Self-Promotion Posts or Comments
I and anyone helping me run the Let's Talk Books! The Online Community may post BookFunnel promos or book sales we find to help you find books. But these kinds of posts are only allowed by moderators. Please do not make any posts about your own books or services and do not post spam of any kind. If you have books or services that you would like to promote, please send me a private message here and I will consider working with you to share your work with other members. If I decline your suggestion to promote and you do not accept that, you will be deleted from the community.
